Gotcha. I never made it to Pax River, but almost took a job with MFC, to work ALIS for the F-35, and would have spent a lot of time in Pax River. Many of the guys I worked with in EBS were former MS2 guys in Owego that had been laid off from one program, or another.

Former USMC rotary wing guy here... We call them choppers all the time. "Get to the choppa" is uttered at least three times daily in a Marine Corps Flightline shop. There is an unspoken quota, I think.

Not sure, our military is there to deter potential enemies and to get the job done when it is ordered to do so. Having a military not trained as it fights and ready to do so at any given moment seems like a huge waste and a total exercise in denial of what a military is for. Still the best version! Some stank but a lot of the G1 toys were epic in their ability to actually look like the vehicle they were supposed to be, without too much bumpf.

Based on those Gawker articles about Amazon, isn't this basically how they treat their floor staff, where their performance is measured by counting the number of packages they fulfill? And aren't we supposed to hate them or something?
