They’ve done a good job in the other media (comics, books, etc.) depicting a more realistic result after the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the second Death Star, i.e. the Empire didn’t just vanish.

I didn’t take it so much that Han is a legend so much as the Force, Dark Side, Jedis, etc. It still wasn’t public knowledge that the Emperor or Vader were Sith or that the Jedi hadn’t been completely wiped out during the Purge.

Probably for the same reason that countries still use old Migs or F-4’s; it’s all they have available to them and there were a lot of them made. I don’t expect that the First Order has much of a manufacturing capability so they are just using what the Empire had left over.

That’s a fair argument, but it would also eliminate half of the list along with World War Z.

I think an argument could be made for it, yes. Especially considering some of the other choices on this list.

I have to disagree. I think World War Z is a fine book.

We can keep both and take off The Eye of the World and The Sword of Shanarra.

There are multiple entries on there from Ursula K. Le Guin and Tolkien.

Did I miss Asimov’s Foundation on there somewhere? That seems like a pretty glaring omission. Also surprised that The Man in the High Castle and To Your Scattered Bodies Go aren’t on the list.
