Well, if I am shopping for just EVs, I have about 3 options. If I don’t limit myself to EVs, I have about 600 options.
For reference, my father is selling his 2007 GT500 convertible to get a Model 3.
A buyer like him has no interest in a Bolt, Volt, Leaf, etc.

The only thing the two have in common is that they run on electricity. The body style, driven wheels, interior/exterior styling, autonomous capabilities, etc, could not be more different.

The point is AWD does not improve your ability to brake or corner on ice. AWD may help you power through rough surfaces but it will not prevent a soccer mom from rear-ending a van full of kids on an icy road.

As a car enthusiast and a tech enthusiast, this list is extremely underwhelming. I get that new tech and efficiency is what they are aiming for here but IMO simplicity, longevity, cost, and real world efficiency are much more important and were totally neglected in this list.
