I’m by no means saying it’s a great paint job, but all of the photos but one are pretty grainy and have been ravaged by jpeg compression. What’s everybody seeing that I’m not?

Not even mentioning the color match for the bumper is... not so good.
It’s a quick write-up of the historical accuracy of a movie, not the liberation trilogy. Cut the guy some slack! He did a pretty good job! Also, until recently Germany wasn’t even considered ‘Western Europe,’ so the edit (excluding Italy from W. Europe) is totally fine.
These ‘lazy designer’ comments are baffling. How much power do you think designers have in the marketing, engineering, and production? Those guys just take a directive of what to evoke and draw a whoooooole lot of cars.
I’m with you, but you may be surprised how the police/city/municipality is not liable for damage while responding to an emergency.
Amen to that. With my hatchback’s ample rear windshield most SUVs put more light into my car than the dome light could ever hope to achieve.
Like most things booze related, it depends on your state’s laws.

I heard the same thing from a faculty member at a top-notch design school. She had a background and career in fashion and defected to I.D. once in academia. Too funny.
You really need to stop insisting that you know more about everyone else about the ‘real’ world/America. It makes you sound like a prick, and I’d bet you’re a nice guy in real life.
Delightfully dickish, Mr McParland! Give those marketing turds what they deserve, a good blunt mocking!
Thanks! It also occurred to me that most rally is modified production cars (right?), throwing in a whole new type of suspension is probably not kosher.
Thanks! Are the fancy pants multi-link suspensions that are supposed maintain camber throughout travel not robust enough for rallying or is it just too soft/much travel for them to still have that effect?
You might not care, but many places, including Virginia, have laws against blocking/parking on sidewalks.
Jesus, is that insane camber or just the effect of... more primitive suspensions?
My 2003 Civic hatchback has a quirky CD player. It angles up slightly and is a known issue that sometimes the motor isn’t strong enough to actually eject the CD. So, on one road trip from Cincinnati to NYC it was real finnicky. My AC dumped its guts just outside of Columbus so my pal and I kept the windows down and…
The 4 bangers can still be pretty reasonable.
I don’t understand this world anymore. I love the 914, red-headed stepchild that it is, but do not understand how restored 914-6s hit new Porsche money, much less this shabby thing. 160,000 miles and an interior that looks like a badger made love to it for eighty grand? Horseshit!
You’re half right. The Germans know better but they like busting chops. I guess most Americans don’t realize that BMW and Mercedes have quite a different, much larger, lineup in their native market.
That grill is a terrible shape projected offensively into three dimensions.
This new Toyota fascia looks like a jock strap.
