I think that everyone detained more than three days should be compensated $1000 per day in custody. For American citizens, it should be $5000 per day. For minors, the compensation should be multiplied by two. If five or under, the compensation should be multiplied by 5.

NYC likes to think of itself as progressive, but they've got a crazy strong, racist and disrespectful police union that tends to bitch slap Diblasio on the regular. Daniel Pantoleo strangled an unarmed man on video and he not only hasn't been arrested or charged, but he remains on the NYPD, armed and making overtime

He just taught me that water crystals have six-fold symmetry. That probably wouldn’t have happened without his input. I don’t know. Learning stuff can be kind of good.

I think I have very good, loving parents, but I remain irritated that they steered me away from law enforcement and the military as careers. I think I would have been well suited for both professions, would have made similar or higher salaries (with overtime) and would now be retiring with a good pension and benefits,

“How the hell is that trust ever going to come back?”

  1. How long did it take staff to explain that as President, he doesn’t have right of Prima Nocta?

He feels shame, you see, because the Secret Service aborted the trip.

take his gun away.

I’ve been replacing my switches with Lutron Caseta and mostly love them. The major issue I’ve run into is that they require constant electricity to keep them connected to the hub, which is totally understandable. The problem is that they run that tiny current through the bulbs, rather than having an isolated circuit

... his lawyer said that as a defense. Huh.

I haven’t researched it in depth, but I would guess that this is possible purely on how the smart switches I’ve seen handle 3 way switches. Basically one switch acts as the main switch while the other act as remote switches that communicate back to the main switch. As such the wiring is done differently from typical

Yeah, I have picos on every bedside table, next to the couch and by the TV. Plus one masquerading as a conventional wall switch next to the front door that controls all the lights in the hallway, lounge and kitchen.

Mind you, with most of the common area lights set on timers I rarely even need to use the light switches

plus the pico remote and lamp dimmers are just the best for adding a second switch or wall switch where you didn’t have one before.

Thats not what I said. If you only turn them on via the switch theres no issue, but then what’s the point of having the smart bulb?

Caseta all the way for me. More up-front hassle, much easier on the back end.

As long as you don’t want to turn them on via the app after flipping the switch yes. But treating that strategy as a standard is typically more useful for guests than as a personal long-term solution.
