Stick with it. Ep 3 is dark indeed but having watched ep 4 here in the UK, it's a lot more fun and really pushes the story forwards…..
Gee willikers - thanks! I bow before your superior mind in gratitude at your magnanimity in permitting me to have an opinion. As it happens, I'd give Taboo a very similar review to the one above. It was tosh. Entertaining, visually gorgeous tosh, yes, but tosh for all that.
I think we've got your point: us lesser mortals who like their stories to have narrative and psychological plausibilty and developed, credible characters, have no business watching this show? Sheesh!
Well, it's clear that people seem to love this show despite its evident problems in narrative logic and thin characterisation - I'll admit that I'm somewhat mesmerised by it myself. But I think the review above is pretty much on the money. If you look below the gorgeous surface, there's a lot LESS going on than…
