Preach!

I love hearing what engineers in other industries believe is going on in game development. I can guarantee that anything you’ve built for the insurance industry is far more resilient than most game backends. That’s by design - you are dealing with highly sensitive customer data, game devs generally aren’t. Games are pr

As long as Trump continues to speak, nothing on GMG counts as “kooky” or even incendiary. Truth is uncomfortable...no one is saying that if you’re not a democrat you’re a Nazi, but if you’re jumping to that conclusion and feeling threatened, ask yourself why.

Filoni would not survive that position, and I would hate to see is soul crushed. It takes a special kind of insanity to thrive in a position like Feige’s, especially now that Star Wars fandom has turned so toxic.

You do not want him to take Kennedy’s position - that’s all business and strategic planning that would destroy his soul. Filoni’s gift is in the stories he tells. He’s where he needs to be.

The ride was based on African Queen, so it’s come full circle.

It’s almost entirely unchanged from its 1955 incarnation, so it’s not surprising that modern park visitors find it corny at best. It’s an artifact of the carnival rides much of the first generation Disneyland was built around, like the dark rides in Fantasyland. They’re largely kept intact out of tradition, and the

I’d rather have a world with fewer garbage humans making tons of money because they’re good at concealing their moral failures (or in spite of it) than the world you describe. Maybe, just maybe, strive to be a better person.

Google it. Not our job to educate you.

That’s one take. Another is that he very publicly dismissed the concerns of female game developers facing daily harrassment and coined a term that toxic fanboys rally behind to this day. But hey, whatever helps you sleep at night.

It’s no different than Obi-Wan showing up in ESB, or Dumbledore having a conversation with Harry before he faces Voldemort. If anything, I don’t want to see it because it’s such a tired trope.

Use social media to your advantage, then. There’s no excuse for non-action-

The Watergate investigation took over two years. You don’t know what you’re talking about, kindly stfu.

Or, you know, any cloud storage solution like dropbox would allow you to upload the uncompressed video and not be beholden to some random encoding tech. If SnapChat fulfills your use case, more power to you, but I personally would never use it for anything work-related.

Knives gets a much better ending in the comic that her goodbye speech in the film absolutely fails to convey. Her characterization in the film is my primary gripe about it, though I still love it.

Lucas wasn’t hands off, but neither was he running the show. Throwing his ideas into the ring and pushing for certain things is a world of difference from the level of creative control he exerted over the films.

Right, but a television producer is the money guy who has a seat at the table to veto ideas. Don’t overstate how much Lucas was actually involved, as Filoni was the showrunner. Even Saw was a character from the aborted television project that Lucas was primarily interested in, that Filoni later repurposed.

correction: 1977. :)

Star Wars: Irritating science nerds since 1977.
