Go read your Chewbacca comics, you walking-carpet lover. :-p

The 40+ people are buying toys for their kids, so, yes. Indoctrinate a new generation into the cult! I’m sure there will be a swell of prequel nostalgia in another ten years. Wait your turn young’un. :)

Did you forget his time on Facts of Life? For shame.

I believe many people trip on Lucas’s old statement that the Star Wars “episode” films are the story of the Skywalkers, forgetting (or not accepting) that Kylo is the representative next generation Skywalker for the new trilogy.

That’s not relevant to this particular discussion. This is about the mastery of the Force Rey displays in The Force Awakens, when she had zero prior knowledge that the Force was even real.

Where are any of them in the rest of Star Wars, save the easter eggs in Rogue One and Hera in the Forces of Destiny short “Imperial Feast”? That’s not enough data to determine who lives or dies, only that Chopper survives through Rogue One and Hera survives through RotJ

Thanks for mentioning that. Yes - Caleb Dume is Kanan’s pre-Order 66 name, and the lothwolf spoke the same name (confirmed as “Dume” and not “doom” in the subtitles).

Really, what about every DOS game ever made? You’re emulating them, your operating system doesn’t technically support them. Again, mobile devices are not gaming consoles. The paradigm is different.

If you want to play your games forever, play board games or keep devices around that support them, just like you’d have to do with your old consoles. Without emulation or physical hardware, most of the games you’ve played throughout your life aren’t playable either.

If Leigh Brackett hadn’t died while ESB was being developed you would have had that. And it would have been batshit crazy.

Cloud City is an unused ANH design for the Imperial City of Alderaan, which later evolved into the Death Star. That was back when McQuarrie was most channeling the Flash Gordon/ Buck Rogers vibe (around 1974-5), so you’re probably correct.

And yes, Cursed Child is garbage. It’s the extreme example of what the OP is aksing for - pandering fan service where everyone is related to the original characters.

I simply find it ironic that you’re mad that you didn’t get more of the same, as you tend to be the same people who complained that TFA was a copy of ANH. You’ll never be happy. And frankly, aren’t you bored of seeing the same tropes repeated endlessly? If not, more power to you.

The trilogy was absolutely NOT worked out before it began. Between the text of the “Art of” books for the last two films, behind the scenes articles and director interviews, there should be zero doubt that they’ve been making this up as they go along. Rian did not have to work with Abrams’s story, and the only real

Anakin’s parent (not plural). He’s the Star Wars spin on the virgin birth.

No one died. One was turned into a monster, one was (as you say) burned alive but couldn’t die. However, when the update patch completed, they all reverted to their previous selves.

He acted in accordance with several (let me emphasize- not most) engineers I have met over the course of my career in tech. So detail oriented that they only see their immediate surroundings, or an answer to a personal problem they’re trying to solve. Not the applications of the tech they’ve created. That’s also where

Do not forget that Clone Wars predates the Disney purchase and is also canon. Every “wacky” scenario in TLJ has a precedent in the films or TCW.
