My current text tone is the Item Catch noise from OoT...think I might have to change it to the ReDead noise just to watch all the gamers in the crowds jump and try to play the Sun's Song.

He could just set his upload to zero if that's a genuine concern. But you are right: There will be someone for the pirates to get it off, regardless. If not torrents, Usenet or IRC channels devoted to that kind of thing.
Odds on, he's not going to make it through the whole game if he doesn't like it. Maybe 2 or 3 levels max. A little more than the average demo, but again, no different to if he'd played the demo. It also means he gets no multiplayer for which I believe there is a functioning demo in the works.
@amazingmao: If you've preordered, there's really no harm. If not, well put down your cash and then do so guilt free.
@Cthulad: Strange. A lot of the older gamers I know are still excited for DNF, even if it has taken 12 years and become an industry joke.
@Cthulad: Just out of curiosity, how old are you?
@KiwiMan: If they make it right, alliances will form, espionage will take place and eventually they will fall. If you want to see how a "dominant" side can be brought to its knees, look for the articles over the last few years on EVE Online. Beautiful stuff.
@derilium:
@Curiously Flamboyant Sheep 3: The Ovis Aries Cometh!: Honestly? I maintain it's because Gabe still doesn't have all the hats. Episode 3 does not ship til he does.
@george111 wants a Cr-48 netbook: I nearly started crying at the fourth one. I hate being in the UK sometimes :(
@Moonchilde: Yes. Of course, since the engine is developed in house, I doubt it will be any better.
@DavidDragoon: At least we know he got out. I hope there's a more involved detective way to find him in the second one though. Just picking out the mook with no bones is boring.
@MWPftw: I think the Portal gun was donated to the Childs Play Charity Dinner Auction. Or at least, a Portal Gun was. Maybe there's more than one?
@RyderJ: Hmm...now I'm torn, do we have a movie delivered entirely from Gordon's perspective without any dialogue from him or do they finally let him speak...
@D-K: I wish I could promote this.
@natedogXVI: Serial killers stalk a particular prey out of compulsion. Mario smashes blocks as part of his already murderous rampage, killing hundreds of Goombas, Koopa Troopas and Hammer Bros.
Brand new paper published a few weeks ago outlines a method to make graphene from table sugar in a furnace using a cheaply available metal catalyst. The semi-conductor industry is going to explode if this is viable.
@Dan Sabato: Yes, I'm aware. I'm merely stating the reason why people thought he might be back.
@Dan Sabato: There was some rumour I remember that someone who worked on the film said he could be brought back, even when his memorial was shown. Was probably more of a Batman thing in that no one is truly dead in the traditional Bat-verse.
I always liked this one from my friendly local zoo
