I’ve said this in a previous comment, but if you rewatch TPM and imagine Padme’s constantly thinking “god, you’re boring. I can’t believe how boring you are. I’m so bored!” every time someone talks, it makes the movie hilarious. Her expressions match perfectly, especially when she’s in Queen mode.

Man, I just had another one of those thoughts: What if Captain Marvel could just pick up Thanos and throw him into space? What if she could just pick him up and fly him to the nearest volcano and drop him in? Could she just drop him in the ocean? A punching contest against Thanos was probably the worst approach.

I remember people losing their collective shit over Heath Ledger being cast as Joker coming off Brokeback Mountain. I was supportive of that casting choice from the jump. I will hold my tongue and apprehension till we see how the movie starts coming together. I can’t blame him for playing the roll in Twilight. Any

1988: Ugh, the guy from Beetlejuice is playing Batman? Mr. Mom? This is gonna be terrible.

Your picture isn’t of knock off costumed characters though. Those were official Mickey and Minnie costumes at Disneyland in the 1958.

You know those strange looking knock off characters that weirdos in Times Square in NYC and on the strip in Vegas wear for tip money? Yeah, that’s what this original version looks like.

What’s Paramount going to do? Hire another company to take over the assets and also spend 18 months untangling the spaghetti?

Based on end credits for many animated films, a lot of the grunt work seems offshored.

Digital animation is one of the few vital industries within Hollywood that has yet to unionize.

That sounds like a great plan, assuming you never intend to by hired by Hollywood again.

All they have to do is f**king say “NO.” The design was most-likely the result of studio executive’s design input anyway. If they want to continue their own work, just say “It will take us 18 months of overtime re-work.” What’s Paramount going to do? Hire another company to take over the assets and also spend 18

Cocaine high fives all around!”

I’ll assume you’re talking about me. lol It’s funny because it’s not even because I’m a big fan of his that I got so involved in the story. I would say I like about half the movies he’s directed over the years. What drew me in was more what caused his firing to begin with. I’ve had huge issues with Cernovich and his

My guess is that Disney has learned that it’s okay to fire someone in the middle of a PR-meltdown caused by alt-right kremlinbot trolls because later when things calm down you can re-hire him.

They’ve probably learned that if Johnny Depp can still make money then probably anybody can eventually.

I know it’s hardly the first thing on most people’s minds, and it’s good just to have him back on Guardians, but I can’t help but wonder whether they reinstated him as the ‘overseer’ for the Cosmic side of the MCU too. Just a few months before his firing there was an announcement that he was going to be in charge of

Yeah... except he already apologized and owned up to his mistakes years ago, which is why the Disney firing was so stupid.

And in a nice turn of karma, a large number of the alt right troll leaders who began the campaign against Gunn have been banned from twitter (and some of the online payment platforms) and are now stuck hawking scams on infowars.

I appreciate Gunn’s candor here, but I hope DISNEY has also learned some lessons from this experience.

If there’s proof that people can change, it’s James Gunn. He used to make easy/poor taste jokes on Twitter, and turned that into a fight for LBGT peeps and against injustice.

His roasting by Trumpers and eventual firing proved he’d hit a nerve. Glad Disney did the right thing and I’m even more glad that he’s still
