@Tills13: Safer than TPB or Isohunt, but that's not saying a whole lot.

@Tills13: Not really private, and only anonymous if you use some of the options listed in the article.

There's also PeerBlock/PeerGuardian (filters and blocks a list of IP addresses) buuuuut those two options really have shown no proof of actually working. However, it doesn't hurt to use it in conjunction with one of the 5 listed above.

It took me the longest time to actually do it, and awhile to actually stick with it, but I've completely cleared my desk, and I think it does do a lot for your attention span and ability to work.

I'm going into my senior year of undergrad, and I've been using OpenOffice throughout my entire college career with zero issues.

Yesterday, I saw a little blue glowing motorcycle perched on top of the computer tables. I have no idea if the guy's computer was in it, or had any function at all, but it was also cool to look at.

@BSartist: Wikipedia works alright, but anything that's vaguely "Web 2.0" is out of the question. If it has videos on the page, it is most definitely out of bounds.

As someone who's hometown is most certainly in a poor and rural area, I most certainly will vote for whatever technology allows people to connect to the rest of the world better.

I'm heading over to Quakecon later today. This will be my first time, and I'm very excited.
