Men v women.
Men v women.
Why is the comparison to Jews and not the aristocracy? Aren’t the latter the embodiment of nefarious power and unearned privilege, and isn’t their demise celebrated each year during Bastille Day?
Melania speaks five languages. That’s at least four more than some of the privileged WASPs who post around here.
Do you know what the term ‘WASP’ even means?
Tell me again, oh wonderful white Americans with Anglo-surnames like ‘Faircloth’, how many countries has Slovenia oppressed and colonised? Then tell me, how many countries has the United States, the United Kingdom and the rest of Western Europe oppressed and colonised?
Where does homophobia intersect into this story? We still acknowledge that Hollywood homophobia, like misogyny and racism, is a thing, right?
Maybe a bit too obvious though.
It’s a brilliantly written character but it’s also impossible to imagine anyone else in the role, and like Willis and ‘John McClane’, Rickman elevates the already exemplary material by a good few notches.
Bad, yes, but unlike everyone else in this list, he isn’t the antagonist.
It’s a Marvel movie, but it isn’t a MCU movie, so who knows whether the characters will ever meet/crossover into one another’s universes.
And Shazam!
This is what annoys me.
Of course, but surely you need to establish their relationship to other characters, in this case the Joker and Batman, as Suicide Squad does to some extent, before releasing them to their own spinoff franchises.
Fools or food?
Is he presented as a bad guy, or an anti-hero?
Controversial...
Is this Harrelson in Venom, or taken from something else? It looks like The Hunger Games but I can’t be sure.
Sure, but he was first established as a Spider-Man antagonist.
Ed Harris in The Rock (Michael Bay’s one genuinely decent film). In fact, it’s arguable whether he’s even a true bad guy since he has an about-face before he’s killed.
Still haven’t seen the film, and most likely won’t until it’s on Netflix, but I could have guessed from the cast list and his absence from all the pre-release footage that Harrelson just had to be Cletus Kasady.
