I can’t help but think that with a shitload of well-done fiberglass work, this just might look cool in the end.

3.9s are lethargic and thirsty, but they’re tough. You’re probably thinking of every other Chrysler V6 that wasn’t a Pentastar-family engine. They have all sucked. The 3.9 was loosely based on the 318/360 V8, so it wasn’t really bad, just gutless.
If Subaru would build me something that could tow my racecar and trailer, I’d be in it. I keep saying the same thing about Hyundai and Volkswagen too (the Amarok already exists, build me a US-spec TDI, 6spd manual, 4x4, 4-door allready dammit!).
A small part of me pondered whether or not there was a kit-car body out there that was close enough to make fit, whether or not I could find a transaxle to go behind an LS motor that would fit, and just how expensive the Lambo brakes and headlights would be.
At the moment, I’m in the middle of swapping the original 302 from my old ‘76 Mustang II (has been bored .040” over, flat-top pistons, some work to the D5AE casting heads, cam, 4bbl intake and carb, headers, just your mild 275-300hp 302) into my dad’s ‘77 Ford Capri MkII from Germany.
