The Munsters looks like a porn parody without the porn.

And as is often the case with real life couples, their onscreen chemistry is negligible

Agreed. I gave not a single shit about any of this CGI shitstorm with the exception of how colossally they fucked the characterization of Wanda. Why spend an entire Disney+ streaming show getting us to empathize with her only to Women Be Crazy her in this nothingburger? And good lord do I hate the MCU version of

It definitely felt at odds with Wandavision which was the most contemplative thing Marvel has released. It really took into consideration how society doesn’t make room for unaddressed trauma which then has ripple effects throughout our community.

In a better universe (in several of them, I bet) John Carpenter gets his due, his full due. There’s probably even a universe where Carpenter made Batman, since that was almost a thing in the 80s.

I’ve never heard a better compliment, thank you for this.

I understand all the individual words in this story, it’s just when they’re all put together that I struggle. Maybe I’m just getting old.

I was a supervisor on that season and honestly its such a fun show to work on. As a horror fan, getting to do all sorts of creepy monsters and fx work is just a blast!

It is not appropriate to release papers prior to peer review or to report on them.

I shit you not, the show is... OK. It, like the Wheel of a time adaptation is fine. Its not a great adaptation like Game of Thrones. Its not above average like the Witcher adaptation. But they’re fine. They’re miles above stuff like Shannarra and Seeker (? The Goodkind one)

Richard Kind doesn't slum - Richard Kind works.

This is a reach, that’s a perfectly OK build. It is actually very cool and fun to run an int/dex build where you adjust towards mageiness or slashiness as necessary.

Even Raimi would say Evil Dead 2 is better then one.

Helen Mirren tho

I said most! Though given my age, it’s much more likely that I’d know Liam Gallagher and Belle and Sebastian than Sharon Van Etten. I’m familiar with !!!, Soft Cell, Tank and the Bangas, and (of course) Harry Styles as well, but that’s still well under 50%, so I stand by my initial statement. :P

So far it’s decent. Nothing transcendant and the production is a bit uneven (cgi is pretty good then Cortana looks straight out of the PS2 era or some of the costumes feel like foam cosplay stuff) but the story and worldbuilding are intriguing (never played the game so I can’t say how it compares, though).

No, "he" didn't.

Sorry, this illogical. People can be both incredible at things AND assholes. This story and movie are so good exactly because Whedon is a great movie maker even if he is also an asshole. This movie given to someone else would have been totally different and likely nowhere near as good.

Just watched that last night for the first time since seeing it in theaters. Holds up damn good

Looper was the first time he really caught my attention (I had watched No Country but not Deadwood by that point), and I instantly liked him. His ability to make any character seem so natural is truly a gift.
