Yeah, that’s the BNA (?) and not the BNS that’s in the RS4. Different engines. Don’t let that scare you away from a B7 RS4.
Carbon issues don’t really affect reliability all that much, until it gets super duper bad. It’s a ~$1-2k fix at your local indy Audi shop that you’ll do once every 50-100k miles depending on how meticulous you are. The B7 RS4 made 90% of max torque at 2000-ish rpm, and just due to gearing and so on, you never really drive it below there anyways. At least you shouldn’t, since you’d be lugging the hell out of it.
