Pero no Latinas! And where's Boo????

Haha! Apparently we're wrong. It's 20's flapper inspired, which is not a reference that I normally think of in connection with feathers and headbands. I'm SURE she did not intend anything weird.

Well, I guess we got different things out of it.

That could have been the intention, but it also reads "dream catcher" as Callie said, and the feathers....it's confusing for sure.

It's just all wrong. I may give her a pass on the appropriation because she's foreign and will probably be embarassed about it later, but it needs to be noted.

Love this look. She's the coolest.

YUMmmmmmm

She's beautiful and inspiring and a dream. But this dress is a MISS. Plus, being a WOC does not make it a-okay for her to wear this Native American drag, does it?

This looks like one of those moroccan rugs everyone is hot for right now.

This is why I fear Vegans.

It's probably not as bad as you think. I looked "old" for my age in my late 20s - but I was in grad school and deprived of sunshine, and unhappy. Now I look "young" for my age, in my 40s. Not a ton of wrinkles, only a couple of greys (which I'm letting grow in). I also know a lot of men (assuming you're hetero)

I wish the original post here contained this kind of thoughtfulness, rather than just parroting of romance-novel tropes that just echo the tenor of the NYT piece.

spell check.

Yeah, and there's also something really self-contained about her. Like, I can see her not being targeted for exploitation. I don't agree with her at all about "courting" but sometimes predators do focus on the vulnerable or those who have already been victimized.

I buy this reading of events.

Because she's such a feminist?

It's been there forever! But in SoMa (before anyone lived there).

Jezebel must pay alright! I found an apt in a bldg with laundry in the bsmt. I still have to get dressed to do it, but just barely.

OMG really? I'm a woman and I didn't know that, or that it was quantified. Is that stat from the Masters & Johnson era or more recent? I feel like if we had decent sex ed in the US people would be more comfortable with all the variations of sex than focusing just on this one thing.

I only like it cuz she's in it. I like how irreverent it is, but she is pushing it.
