I think my favorite tidbit in all this was her responding to a tweet informing her that the K symbol in boxscores predates the foundation of the KKK by saying “Slavery started before then. Doesn’t make it right.” Technically, she is right. Slavery was not right even before the KKK existed, but I have no idea what

I also don’t pretend that the manager for an individual McDonald’s is THE manager for all of McDonalds like you tried to do with Spencer. Apparently, you are too stupid to even understand why you are an idiot.

Spencer wasn’t “the Senior Climate Scientist for NASA” and is careful to never claim that. He didn’t even work at the main Center for Climate Sciences at the JPL in California. Instead he worked at a different flight center in Alabama whose climate activities were mainly related to gathering observational data for

Were you really expecting Fox Sports 1 to preempt their nascar coverage for a new 3 on 3 league? If anything, the complaint should be that the 3 on 3 league should be on the primary Fox network instead of the random infomercials they are running from 1-3:30.

I’m in for $20.

Is there going to be a pool for the first player to stuff Lonzo and have the ball hit LaVar in the face?

I think my personal favorite was “Fuck all you pieces of shit, theres no real constructive communication with people anymore.” That is GOP politician level projection right there.

Yep. I guess if a parole board wanted to let Charles Manson out of jail, we should just shut up and accept their judgement since he committed his crimes much more than 6 years ago.

Ahh, so the annual update he forgot was to update his registration rather than attend a meeting? That was my bad assumption and not related to anything Deadspin wrote. But it also doesn’t change my greater point that he did not “do everything asked” or complete all the terms of his sentence.

But he didn’t serve his entire sentence. Part of his sentence was to attend annual update meetings and he did not attend the most recent one. If he had actually completed his sentence this would never have made it to the press.

True, but that also means those 40 players are probably not going to have contracts that would benefit from them being fully guaranteed (either 1 year deals or rookie contracts - which IMO would end up turning into a series of 1 year deals rather than teams guaranteeing all 4 years right after the draft).

Yeah, but that was a year ago when he had a guaranteed contract with SF.

That he ‘opted out’ is just semantics. The 49ers had been upfront with him that he was going to be cut if he did not opt out and gave him the choice to pick which option he preferred.

How can you know he wants too much money when he hasn’t made a public salary demand and no teams have contacted his agent this offseason to discuss terms of a possible contract?

Or have an extra set of keys to your place so when you lock yourself out while walking the dog (again!) you don’t have to pay the locksmith an exorbitant fee for an “emergency” visit.

The questions I never see asked are how that would affect contract length and value. Teams are not going to be giving out the same deals if all the money is fully guaranteed (especially once that guaranteed money starts to pile up as dead money against their salary cap leaving them less money to spend on current

Teams are now allowed to cut a player at any time in the offseason but classify the move as post-June 1 for salary cap purposes so that players have a chance to find a new home during the height of free agency rather than ending up in Harris’s position.

The problem with Corry’s suggestion is that the player is going to have to give up some money if he wants the team to give up their flexibility by giving him those early March roster bonuses. And most players are not going to want to give up money in the short term for something that may or may not end up helping

Unfortunately, Texas and some other gun happy states have passed laws that require “no guns” signs to meet very specific requirements or else they are considered invalid and can be ignored.
