The Logitech M510 is the first decent mouse I've ever purchased, and I love it. I can't think of anything else I need a mouse to do.

This is great. Another tip would be to store more media in the cloud and use an app to download different albums, videos, pictures, etc. on to your iPhone when you're space-restricted.
GIF is an acronym. Who gets to decide how it gets pronounced?
I like a lot of this, but he's completely dismissing things like cognitive behavioral therapy. There are plenty of people unhappy BECAUSE all they're doing is pursuing goals, not doing enough of what makes them happy. I agree that a lot of the happiest people don't think about how happy they are, but most of the…
My guess is that these new prices are to afford what's already been announced, not expand further. But I think Netflix as it is totally merits $10/month.
By the way, I recently wrote a piece about script format for writing comics if anyone's wondering about that.
I wish either Scrivener could work with Word docs or Google Docs could have its own app. Until then I feel pretty much stuck with Microsoft Word.
Too bad. Noticed you have a comics category; which sites do you follow?
Great article. I was using strictly MOBI until I found the Marvin app for the iPad, so now I need EPUB copies too. It's too bad Calibre's UI is so ugly, though.
Thanks a lot!
I just started using PIA with my Mac, and have a question. My VPN is set up both in the "Network" section of Settings, and it can connect with the menu bar app. Do I need both?
Kinja won't let me add an image.
Well, gatekeepers are a lot more than one person. It's a lot of people who have an eye for what's commercially viable. Of course great authors and books slip through the cracks, but to say "ignore the publishers" seems absolutely ludicrous to me. That's like not applying to a job because businesses don't always hire…
I really disagree with the idea that gatekeepers are evil and that you should avoid them. They're there to find books that people will want to read. The standard published novel is probably of a lot higher quality than the standard unpublished one. Why in the world would a writer ignore an avenue that gives their book…
Great software. It's worth mentioning that the trial is for 30 days that you actually use Scrivener. So if you only use it once a week you can use it for free for over 6 months.
Great article, adjusted my Evernote stacks because of it. I personally find that I generally only need one notebook per story, though. I like to limit my number of stacks. It's too bad you can't make stacks of stacks; that would make my notes a lot more organized.
My list of things to read later is usually short, so I use Pocket just to keep all my favorite articles. Wouldn't be a bad idea to back those up to Evernote, but it would take a lot more time.
That's the craziest part of the story to me. It's like a Bond villain sharing his evil master plan.
It lets you mark key points in the conversation/lecture, for easier access to transcribe later.
Is there anything like this already out there? Writing up audio interviews is such a pain, I'm surprised I haven't seen anything like this before.
