The only way I'm surviving this is by having Community on in the background like a safety blanket.

I am drinking neat vodka for the first time in my life.

That sounds right up my alley.

Both!

You guys what are some good, funny podcasts with jokes in them?

Please… please… just..anyone but Akiva.. please?

How DARE you say that about Lorelai and Rory!

I love GG, I don't know why I've waited so long to watch Bunheads. Partly I feel like the knowledge that it was pretty short-lived puts me off.

Is Bunheads any good?

Moses Pentecost is also a pretty amazing name.

That's a kaiju bruv, believe.

Man, you edited this after I replied to it! I think that's very true of Moffat. He's a really interesting showrunner. One who has some truly GREAT ideas, but who more often than not ends up selling those ideas short.

Except like, he isn't good at intricate plotting. He's good at word-games and little puzzle boxes, but when it comes to the actual plotting of an episode or a season, he's too busy showcasing his all-too-clever tricks to actually put a satisfying plot together, which is why so many of his episodes end with a reveal or

I really hope there's a decent payoff. Moffat's era has been a lot of toying with cool concepts that never pay off, and dancing around some central theories and questions about The Doctor without ever really addressing them. It's been a real shame because Coleman and Capaldi (and Smith and Gillian before that) are

Just watched Kevin Roberts. The sketch is great, and Kenan is the perfect guy to be reacting to him. I think the punchline/reveal is much weaker than Pumpkins' final scare though.

Started catching up on Doctor Who with Season 9 eps 1 through 6. The reason we swore off the show is still present in spades: Moffat and his team are great at assembling cool-ass moments, peppering each episode with some really cool ideas, but are less interested in crafting satisfying stories. Also, the way they try

Yeah, the AV Club article on the sketch made a similar argument, but I never saw the Kevin Roberts sketch somehow, so I can't comment. I can say this: I think Pumpkins' mysterious nature is key to his enduring appeal.

Black Jeopardy was definitely funnier, but I'm gonna remember David S Pumpkins for a long-ass time.
