OK, I'll put you down for both in case I don't get enough people! There are a lot of episodes.

OK, here is our bracket. Remedial Chaos Theory gets a first round bye. After round two there will be a resorting and a bye for the episode with the most total votes so far. Please sign up here for the episodes you want to Champion/defend. You can sign up for more than one episode, but don't sign up for two episodes

Abed would only vote if he felt some narrative pull towards it. Like maybe this year him and Troy both vote for Trump, because they've been prepping for an apocalypse scenario and they don't want all those canned goods & elaborate cannibal traps to go to waste.

Amy & Rosa would both absolutely vote Hilary, but for very different reasons. Peralta would try to vote for Gore, and not understand why he wasn't on the ballot. Boyle would initially be in full support of Bernie, but then switch to Hilary when he found out Bernie's favorite pizza place was garbage.

I'd be into it, but who knows if I'll actually be able to commit to anything.

Reasons I should have heard of it: Alfonso Cuaron did it.
Reasons I haven't: It was on NBC. It ran from March to June of 2014.

I have 26 right now, which means 1 round of 26, 1 of 13, 1 of 7, 1 of 4, then a final. But adding more would be good too! 28 would be nice, because then we'd only have one bye instead of 2.

If you are interested in this and didn't respond to Ege's thread yesterday with your personal top 5, respond here, so I make sure your picks get entered into the tournament (There are some notable faves missing rn, including Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking and Contemporary American Poultry)

Top 5, in no order

OK sweet!

At least we know he has an idea about where the stories are going, I guess.

I was thinking about doing a Community Tournament Of Episodes with a little twist. Here's how it would work:
I go to Ege's thread from yesterday and find all of our fave episodes, then rank them at random and pair them into brackets. Then everyone signs up to be a Champion for each of the first round episodes. The

Definitely need a think. Will update tomorrow.

Interesting. I feel like in a few years there's a great book in the behind-the-scenes politics of how these things got made.
Was it just AoU and Ant Man that really suffered at the hands of this committee, or does it go back further?

Max Landis (ugh) talked about the lack of Asian stars who can open a movie, and blamed it for the Ghost in the Shell debacle. But if no-one ever casts Asian actors in any role, big or small, we'll never get to the point where we can have a non-whitewashed GinS adaptation.

Interesting. I wasn't a big fan of Darren as a character, but a lot of the stuff there were the best parts of the movie. I wonder if its blandness was less a product of Not-Wright and more a product of its troubled history.

That's a pretty good way of doing it, I suppose.
