One thing that you touch on here that really struck me about the film is the sheer propulsive movement of the thing. Almost every shot is beautifully composed to give a sense of continuous, powerful, unstoppable forward movement. It gives you such a sense of danger and tension. Then when Miller pulls back to show you

He also came out of retirement to shoot it, intrigued by the fact that Miller was building his own cameras to shoot the thing.

I also find myself anticipating this television show with high hopes and joy in my heart.

Oh right, I forgot about that. In which case I'm guessing either X-Force or Morlock Madness.

I could not be less excited for Prometheus 2: The Promethening.
"Untitled Fox/Marvel Film" is Spiderman, they just haven't announced whether it's called Amazing Spiderman, Spectacular Spiderman, Peter Parker: Spiderman or Spiderham yet.

Or, y'know, enact powers to "allow courts to force a person to send their tweets and Facebook posts to the police for approval."

This is so nuts. Is Rick & Morty a big enough thing to justify this on The Simpsons' side? Aren't they on completely different networks? What do they have in common apart from both being animated?

At least he wasn't constructed specifically to show the dangers of a totalitarian state.

That's exactly what my friend and I just said. "This Big Brother chap seems to have the right idea"

If they were doing that, the team would be led by Felicity, Cisco and Golden Glider.

One Thousand Yeses. Vandal Savage, Rory Pond, More Captain Cold.

This, combined with Britain's already crazy internet laws mean I am never moving back there.

Basically he's proposing a literal thought police to crack down on those scary Muslims and other people who didn't go to Eton or Harrow.

" I travel light: a small duffle bag and a backpack, which contains my laptop, passport, and a book (The Year 1000 by Henri Focillon) which I have packed out of habit, but will almost certainly not read. " - It is impossible not to read this sentence without picturing one of Anderson's montages of centered insert

Oooh good call. I forgot Rusch showed up in an episode. It seems like a waste of such a good idea to not use Stein as Firestorm though. Maybe we'll have 2 firestorms running around the place.

Also the idea that a poorly executed movie can "RUIN" a genre of movies is just a lazy way of making your personal problems with a movie seem like a larger issue, elevating your (usually asinine) criticism to the level of Important Discourse.

I guess we're getting a White Canary after all. Methinks timetravel shenanigans are involved.

I am 100% OK with that. They both have such fun with those characters. It's gonna be interesting to see what they pull to get those two on the same team. Unless we're following a supervillain team simultaneously with the hero team.
