This genuinely sounds like it could be the theme song for the angriest sitcom ever. "This Thursday: 'IT'S ALL ABOUT THE HE-SAID, SHE-SAID BULLSHIT!!!' On ABC!"

Also, someone had to have had a problem with the fact that you *can't understand what Bridges-in-GRIT is saying.*

Likeable, indeed :) "Did I really deserve this, or did I just wear y'all down?"

Hopefully it would be a bit more energetic than this:

When the man dances - certainly, boys! - what else? The piper pays him!

A digression: When "Rent" was first being written, Jonathan Larson signaled his burning want of mixing 'real rock' and Broadway together by writing this in the opening stage directions: 'There is a rock band on stage, and a full orchestra in the pit.'"

It does have a song in the second act, "Other Pleasures," that's pretty sweet and which I like a lot - though that might be because it reminds me of the alternate version of Sondheim's "With So Little To Be Sure Of".

For me: Discovering what a lovely song "My Funny Friend and Me" by Sting is. It sure doesn't fit into a movie like THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE, but it's kind of beautiful on its own. My favorite song of the year.

According to the new biography, the "younger person" Billy was talking to who inspired this song was Sean Lennon.

(from "Magic," on GHOST STORIES:)

(from the audio interview with Daniel Handler in the audiobook for THE BAD BEGINNING:)
'It's a question I… get quite often, and one that can… be rectified… quite easily- You see this photograph??'
'Yes.'
'The person in this photograph is Lemony Snicket! I am Daniel Handler! Lemony Snicket in the photograph; I am Daniel

I didn't realize this was a sad occasion.

I do remember thinking, after watching FROZEN, "If the Baudelaire orphans had met this Olaf instead, it'd have been a totally different I'M A HAPPY SNOWMAN."

This is a great idea, Netflix: can't wait :)

Messina had one of the best moments in RUBY SPARKS, when he finally realizes that the whole "My brother manifested a woman with his mind" thing actually happened. Just his face, when he's slowly putting the pieces together in his head, is great :)

Along the same lines as this article: An article from the Guardian, around the time INFERNO came out. One of the best, funniest attacks on Dan Brown ever put to paper.

Well, you know, home entertainment was his baby's wish… so he got some acting roles.

A mediocre movie with great set design and a wonderful score.

I remember being slightly disappointed, too, that Jim Carrey wasn't as dark as the book's Olaf - who, at least in the first book, is a truly cold, evil man.

Tim Rice once joked that, in the tradition of "Oliver!", the original title of JCS was "Christ!"
