This is quite worrying, as I filed my taxes electronically in early March and the IRS successfully debited money from my account, yet this new website is saying they don’t have my bank account and asking me to submit the info. It seems like a real IRS website but how do I know this isn’t an advanced scam?

The article just inexplicably jumps from talking about stimulus checks to talking about unemployment claim processing, the latter of which is the only thing I have seen the COBOL programmer shortage connected with. I don’t think there is anything substantiating the opening sentence of the article.

The Nvidia claim comes from the linked Eurogamer article written by Richard Leadbetter who appears to be decidedly male.
