A game at full 1080p resolution and antialiasing with physically based materials would do the trick graphically but the consoles are not powerful enough to run that, nor are they powerful enough to do any additional AI etc that would be required to make worlds…

I think they got so excited about the idea of basing a significant gaming mechanic around trash that they forgot to stop and think that they were encouraging the player to spend a significant portion of their gaming....worrying about trash. The opposite of fun.
