That “electric blue” or whatever its called sure is puuurrrty.
Still waiting for the perfect blend of the 2004 Mustang GT Concept and the Ford EVOS Concept. I love the “three bar” taillights, but something about the Shelby style taillights looks more futuristic to me.
They’re not being truly honest here. That is not the thickness of the 2012 MacBook Pro but rather the 2008.
Your average Starbucks user shouldn’t be buying a MacBook Pro.
Been using GFX Card Status to manually switch or disable each GPU. I’ve been getting an average of 9.5 hours.

In my industry we used to have a 50/50 split based on preference. Recently everything has switched to Apple hardware, and now even dedicated computers for machinery. I just don’t hear people complaining about needing a new laptop or iMac or how something isn’t working properly as often as I used to.
I will never use Pixelmator, but I sure do wish Photoshop looked as good as Pixelmator does.
People like me? I work in the industry thats all. I’m a little more informed then the people who read + write these articles.
Wrong. Apple chooses to design its products the way it does because it ensures they are reliable. You don’t nearly hear people talking about how they’re MacBook Pro has an issue as you do a Dell or an HP.
A - I get by on 256GB’s- and I’m a “pro” user. Purchasing a 1TB external SSD drive is more economical and safer than internal storage.
I’m a “pro” user and I think the new machines are great. Theres some serious engineering and thought that went into them.
From an industrial design standpoint this machine has some really cool details. I especially love the super wide finger notch for opening the display.
I was updating my Grandmothers iMac the other day to Sierra, and to my total horror discovered stupid iCloud uploaded all her documents to iCloud Drive. The 1TB of free space she has clearly wasn’t enough for her 10 documents.
THIS is awesome. I want more articles like this on Gizmodo+iO9+lifehacker
Just another case of a group of people complaining about the lack of ports on the new MBP. This group is still in middle school however.
I’m kinda bored with the everyone complaining about USB-C, the lack of ports on the MBP, and being overly dramatic in general. Frankly it also seems rather “click-bait” most of the time.
As cool as your ideal machine sounds, I appreciate the design decisions for thinner and lighter. I have a lot of equipment to carry when I travel and every pound shaved off is nice.
I myself am an industrial designer and I find the new MBP to have been designed with myself in mind. People within my industry have all had positive things to say about the new machines.
