That’s a good guess and would be in-line with the sequel to Westworld - “Futureworld.”

Personally, I think what Rick said about people like that not deserving to survive in the new world - while perhaps extreme - to be correct.

I think there was some foreshadowing Season 1 when Kevin was locked up in the same institution his dad was, and once he began to listen and “obey” he was let out. This was a dream sequence but still.
