TRASH ECONOMY

Always liked the Putt Putt computer games because they were point and click adventure games that took place in a world of talking cars. When Putt Putt travels through time, he meets disembodied, self-running wagons and charriots, and a talking wheel. For some reason it made more sense than the Pixar movies.

That's a really well done parody, and it actually avoids too much direct "edginess" either. There's a lot of restraint for TV Funhouse in keeping the dark elements more existential, and making the episode visually fairly indistinguishable from the original program. The Dora format is so ripe for absurdist/nihilist

That was pretty cute!

The Clash ;)

Pretty cool seeing the second interview. Lydon's still a dork, but he's communicative, and that's all it takes for Snyder. Very sweet man.

As a disabled boy, Shaggy has been good for my body image. He has noo muscles.

ATTITUDE

Fan of Tompkins and his character/VO work especially, but never really found this show compelling. Hopefully he'll get to star in something that matches his talents better.

ok

The pool is totally made to be symbolic of them living over their means though n

I think they (including much of their productions) are also at core satirists, and they use video editing the way previous satirists used writing and performing. It's no surprise that they can go cinematic on occasion when you realize it's a total film student show. I'm Not about the diarrhea tho.

Those are all male comedians.

Where's Larry David's redemption? ????

Horace and Pete and Life of Pablo find another commonality.

But the people who do try that shit and fail still fail. For every huge weird twitter account there's a hundred people who saw that, thought that, and were wrong.

The word here though is "automatic", which implies that there's nothing behind, no point, to the material itself, but there usually is. It's something to build a critique on, and often that critique is funny. Nobody's saying is the only way to do things, but at least allow that it's as valid as any other

Every time the Nathan for You theme pops up anywhere is a joy. Good job internet.

MATT!

I monitor my depression by how much time I spend on Kotaku.
