Probably one of the first postmodern uses of soundtrack in children's television cartoons.

Never got to see this show when it was alive, but got into it in High School around the same time I was getting into Tim & Eric and other kinds of deconstructionalist absurd low-brow humor, and Ren & Stimpy definitely seems like something needed for those to exist. There's something downright satirical about the way…
Did anyone watch the stream last night? I thought the album was very good, taking a lot of the tropes and styles of 2015 and 2014's hip hop and funneling into something deliberately emotional and meaningful. I don't even think there's drums on a lot of it.
Why the pearls? Why the dress? Why anything?

Time Warner is the best of the media megacorps, right?
only makes me love eric more. someone tell me bruce springsteen hates him too.
I'm personally a big fan of Eric's Le Beat Group Electronique album. He falls under the Jonathan Richman category whose voice was nurtured and given first audience by the punk movement, but not exactly well-endowed with its strengths. His most recent album was pretty good too.

Genesis can't synthesize instruments, but if all you want is bleeps and beats, it's a hell of a synth. I understand Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana and the Final Fantasies have excellent faux-orchestral soundtracks, but I would never slap them on a playlist like I would the music of Sonic 3, Streets of Rage, Gunstar…
I think the SNES sound chip did the song much more justice. Tropical Freeze version just sounds like video game music while the SNES version is a legitimately excellent production.
Got a Retron5 for Christmas and hooked it up to my speaker system. DKC sounded best.
Kanye West- Blood on the Leaves
I can't do comedy when I'm high. I can't suspend my disbelief.
Even if the Daily Show theme is the blandest theme in TV history.
Agreed with whoever said if Yahoo wasn't ready to lose serious money, they shouldn't have gotten in the game anyway.
I Am Here To Help
A season 14 or so episode also features Homer and Bart chanting mockingly to Lisa, "You're going to Stanford!" to her own increasing exasperation and frustration.
