Just a quick note on Rolls Royce. They went bankrupt because they couldnt pass this test with their advanced Carbon Fibre fan blades in the 80s. The solution for those wonder (and whats used today) is to run a titanium strip along the leading edge of the compressor blades. But Rolls didnt think of that before filing

128s are great. I still like my 135, though.

The N54 was BMWs first gasoline turbo motor in nearly 30 years. It also introduced DI to the gasoline BMW range. Some teething issues were to be expected, and most of them were solved well before the N55 was replaced.

Whoops. Was thinking V6 Altimas, which are in the mid 5s (I get my boring family cars confused). My 135 is a convertible, which is good for 5.4 or 5.5 (honestly it doesnt matter 0-60 times are dumb)

A V6 Camry is as fast to 60 as my 135, so it doesnt really matter either way. But for what its worth a 135 in 2008 the way I optioned it was only 2K more than an equivalently speced 128. So I bought the fast one.

HPFP, Injectors 1-4, and both Turbos. Thankfully all of this happened while the car was under warranty/recall, so no charges to me. Car is sitting at 114K miles now.

Warranty? I havent had one of those since 2010!

Ill have you know that the N54 in my 1 Series has only exploded 3 times. If thats not the picture of reliability I dont know what is.

There should be a Rallycross Spec Veloster. Mostly, I just want to see that big wing on a road car.

Most people live near a city and drive fewer than 50 miles a day. Thats why automakers keep targeting 80-100 mile ranges. Its not a stretch, it takes a month or two to get used to but after that youre fine.
