Back to 2007 Monday Nights NBC—i personally liked Journeyman—I was disappointed that the show was essentially toast by like episode three, but i thought it was a good show on the whole.

I gotta ask you how crushed were you when you saw about The Middle ending after next season?!?!? I was legit surprised…i thought they would go another two easy, and perhaps even beyond that depending on whether Heaton wanted to keep doing it or call it a day. Ratings were certainly strong enough—they finally gave ABC

Oh shit I also saw The Villainess a couple weekends back at yet another advanced screening. (Asian Film Festival!) That was very enjoyable with a couple of really strong action sequences…even if it is heavily reminiscent of La Femme Nikita

I believe the first two films were super successful in England, and they're probably fairly cheap to make budget wise.

I feel like the word of mouth and reviews on it will be overly harsh, but i can't say its good—its a very two to two and a half star movie—like right down the dividing line in terms of quality—its neither good nor bad as a whole (there are things about the movie that are bad, the ending for example) but its not God

Elba is good, he's very, very dry, but he's good in the role, He's probably the best thing about it now that i think on it.

I had trouble believing this was real when i saw a poster for it a little while back. I didn't think the first one was all that successful enough to get a sequel. (It Grossed 70 Million Dollars?!?!?!? WHAT?!?!?!?)

I saw a free advanced screening of Dark Tower earlier tonight if anyone cares. It was very mediocre, not terrible, just mediocre—with some very chintzy looking effects scenes thrown in there in the back half. (its got a terrible ending, but aside from that i didn't think as a whole it was terrible) It'll play really,

yeah but to be fair only one of those three things was decided at the network level….i mean you can't blame CBS for the whole stupid Juliana Margulies "feud" with Panjabi, because from CBS's point of view the character of Kalinda was a very marketable asset for them, she was a breakout character and i'm sure were it

Who freed the slaves?
Who can tell me the capital of Spain?
What is the square root of 64?
Huh…The Muppets does kind of work as an answer for all three of those questions.

one of my teammates wrote that down and i was like that can't possibly be right right? its probably like The Jerk or something…and because he was like willing to fight me to the death on it, I was like all right you win and so we went with The Muppet Movie as our answer and we got the point for it so I had to give it

Also Beyond the Forrest was one i pulled out at the very last second—i was sitting there like i think its like Cabin in the something—obviously its not Cabin in the Woods, and its not Cabin in the Sky either….Cabin in the Forrest??? (At the end i managed to remember to cross out Cabin In and wrote Beyond above it)

you literally got them all right!!!! (i was particularly proud of counting up the DeLuise Brooks movies…i remembered to count The 12 Chairs but i was unsure if he was in High Anxiety or not)

he's a bit hit or miss in general…but when he hits he hits brilliantly….and that's just me talking about him as a writer (I loved the last book i read by him which was 11/23/63 which was back around New Years/first week or two of January—really surprisingly strong narrative) …in terms of movie adaptations that have

I know…the trick is to making the misunderstanding that occurs believable tho.

I love typical sitcoms tho! Its not easy to do a typical sitcom unfortunately…it looks easy, but its so easy to get it wrong that when people get it right and everything's working altogether its worth praising! (All Hail MAN WITH A PLAN!)

Cristela was never on CBS tho—-plus ABC cancelled her show (in favor of Dr. Ken no less!) much to my chagrin cause i was quite enjoying it. (Of course i went on to enjoy Dr. Ken so i'm clearly not one to hold grudges)

i don't think i've seen that episode since i was like 6 either!

off topic but because of Antenna's switching of it to 3 AM i've been watching a lot of reruns of 227 over the past week….some of these have been really really giving me the deja vu—they had the one where Mary, and Sandra, and the rest of the cast get locked in the toy store with Pee Wee Herman, and i was like OH MY

we'll see…in terms of movies that they've gotten advanced screening passes for, this is at least something that a lot of people there actually wanted to see good or not…like the previous movies they had advanced screening tickets for were stuff like The House or 47 Meters Down where it was like (shrugs) ehhh if i get
