Literally nothing from no one about Marco Polo season 2.

I will stick up for Titantic until I realize I'm wrong and acknowledge the whole thing is just a mediocre soap opera with a $200 million budget.

There's tons of foreshadowing I missed the first time around, so for me yes.

Gilly: "My baby!"

Looks like the pigeons are finally coming together.

Not for one moment do I believe that field is anywhere near regulation.

Do people of the left usually call Barack Obama a race traitor?

"The coming elections in Zimbabwe are no mere referendum on the leadership of the coalition government. Instead, the decision before Zimbabweans is a clear one: continue on the revolutionary path of Mugabe and ZANU-PF or follow Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s MDC-T and their pro-US, neoliberal economic agenda.

If I didn't know any better I'd say you're glad Wiesel is dead.

Ah, counterpunch. Are they still defending Robert Mugabe?

I've been rewatching Game of Thrones from season 1 the past few weeks. Now at season 5. This show is intricate.

If you enjoyed (well, not enjoyed - found it necessary reading) Night, I highly recommend The Aquariums of Pyongyang by Kang Chol-hwan and Pierre Rigoulot. Kang Chol-hwan tells his story of 10 years in a North Korean gulag. Like Night it's a quick read in a plain writing style - easily finished in a single sitting.

I get what you're saying, and you're right. No genocide so far has entirely eliminated every last person of an ethnic group worldwide. When you consider the current Jewish population of Poland is about 25,000 however, I think the point you're making is a touch academic.

Yes, it does.

"The term "genocide" did not exist before 1944. It is a very specific term, referring to violent crimes committed against groups with the intent to destroy the existence of the group."

(Pours out a Rolling Rock)

Genocide refers to the entire annihilation of a people and attempts to erase their culture and history from memory. Whatever your opinion of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it ain't genocide.

In the book A Problem from Hell Samantha Powers details the efforts of Teddy Roosevelt after he learned of the Armenian genocide.

Throw the ball, George!

Counterpoint to counterpoint to counterpoint to counterpoint: James Cameron's widely assumed DOA studio killer turned #1 movie of all time Titantic.
