So simple. So stupid. And yet...

Am I alone in thinking that this season was awesome, and in being confused why people keep saying it needs to be fixed?

Look pal. I come here for the hot sports takes. Not the jokes. If I wanted a joke I’d follow you to the john and watch you take a leak.

I don’t see how any other conclusion is warranted. There is no doubt that is exactly what he did. Takes a set of big balls to do it, however.

My understanding is that Rick Reilly was first on Twitter about it.

The focus on Simmons and the need to continuing try and downgrade not only his accomplishments, but him as a person is bordering on pathetic at this point.

The only one trying too hard here is you my man. Look, you don’t have to be a fan at all. But the idea that you could possibly have as much dislike for him as you are saying is transparent and forced and ultimately not believable

Airborne is enjoyable to me even today as a 40 yr old man who would break my neck just trying to put roller blades on again.

That’s a lie and you know it. You can’t watch, hell just listen to the D with him and KG, and not fucking love at least most of it.

We even got cheated out of that goddamn cheater being implicated in a 243-page report about how his cheating team continues to cheat.

Doesn’t that response beg the question though? Is he contractually entitled to the money? Isn’t that what cashman is saying, that he isn’t entitled to it simply by hitting 660, 714, 755 etc. ?

No doubt that MLB, Fehr and Selig were complicit, and no doubt that they are equally as culpable, if not more so, for the rampant steroid problem baseball is still facing, whether it be current players or how to deal with records and the Hall.

I agree nothing is perfect. Your DUI hypothetical, however, doesn't work because it has nothing to do with enhancing your performance on the field.

To me, that all goes to the validity of the obstruction/perjury charges, which I thought and still think were a waste of time, even if i am not a fan of his. I don’t think that goes to the concept of did he take certain substances. Not did he knowingly take them knowing what they were or could have been.

OK, now I’m certainly confused. If they were legal, and if there was no issue with using the cream and the clear, which this is the first time I recall hearing that, why say you didn’t know what they were when you took them? Why use the rationale that you thought it was flax seed oil? That seems inconsistent, no?

He did. And It could very well be a totally arbitrary decision by me, but to me the greenies they had in the locker room for players to take then is different from covertly using illegal substances (please don’t say baseball didn’t ban it, they are illegal by law) by bonds and others

Mu understanding is that he admitted to using the cream and the clear that he was given from balco, but gave the rationale, if you will, that he thought it was simply flax seed oil

For what it’s worth, he’s still an admitted juicer. That’s gonna keep him out regardless. For sure though, the asshole tag, fair or not, won’t help his case.

The only plausible explanation for that guy defending his "bachelor moving party" is that his soon to be wife said it was the only way he was allowed to have a bachelor party. What's worse, no only has he convinced himself its a GOOD idea, but that it was HIS idea to begin with.
