I buy that. And the best thing about 4T80s is that there were enough FWD Caddies equipped with ‘em that they’re cheaper than dirt today.

“Beater”? This is what we pay for our nice cars. And this would do just fine in that role. Good solid W-body in nice shape, with low miles? Hell yes. And it even looks good for what it is. I’d try to talk him down $500, but even this is a decent price.

Who is calling this thing a beater? Did I miss a joke? This is nicer than my first four cars put together. 

Back in 2005, we had a traveling salesperson show up for service with one of these. It was a 2002 with 315,000 miles.

As a disciple of the Church of 3800, Nice Price! This looks to be in good shape both in and out. Port that SC, add some rockers, delete the U-bend in the exhaust, pulley down, tune it, and add a transmission cooler. Then it’ll really add some sport to that Grand Spory moniker. Those shelves are amazing.  Why can’t we have cool shit like this anymore? 

Supercharger and a turbo? Sold!

This is an easy NP. The supercharged W bodies are sneaky fast, and the underlying components are simple and inexpensive. You could daily this car for at least a few years before it gives you a reason to move on from it.

P.S. No dissing on GE refrigerators, this 1960s gem is still keeping beverages cold and pizzas frozen in my basement, and will probably outlive me.

Beater? Every car driven on NE OH salted roads would like a word with you.

Supercharged V6, same GM platform... is this thing basically a Grand Prix GTP? Because is so, nice price.

Forget winter beater duty ... throw a smaller pulley on that blower, free up the exhaust and toss a stout computer tune on that puppy, then smoke some sleeping Mustang pilots ... bringing up the power windows on the way out.

My girlfriend’s lease is about to be up on her VW Atlas and she’s wants to right her wrong-doing and get something lower/sportier. She used to drive a manual A5 coupe and misses it, but needs more cargo room.
