I don't think it has anything to do with a lacking library. I think, instead, it has everything to do with preventing the problem XB1 and PS4 are going to have, which is having to completely restart the customer's personal entertainment ecosystem. They refused to force users to abandon Wiimotes or existing Wii

If my Wii U can go into a Wii compatibility mode, your fancy supermachines can emulate your previous systems. Surely you have the horsepower and the knowhow.

*looks up from his Wii U+PC gaming lifestyle*

Yup, still good over here.

Good talk.

I think I just got hit with the debate equivalent of a nuke? Did you just tell me to go kill myself? O_O

I look forward to seeing his work on the full line of EA Sports games next year, when EA is forced to pull its head out of its ass. Wii'll be waiting for U, Bob.

Your reductive interpretation of the situation and the system itself have rendered your opinion invalid. Reroll, try again.

I'm typing so well despite thrashing so hard!

I caught all 151 between Red, Blue, and Yellow. The quest continues. I will probably die trying to catch the newest Mewtwo equivalent.

I'm with Totilo. There's extra-special benefit in existing Wii U owners coming into Best Buys, excited to play these games. That's visible, public excitement in a place where people can make purchasing decisions on a whim. Downloadable demos take all that potential word of mouth away. The last thing anyone wants is

"virtual block folks"

Maybe Super Mario Bros. 3? And Super Mario World? Grasping at straws here, because Yoshi's Island and Super Metroid have already come up.

Oh right! Thanks for the correction. :)

Daaaaaaaaaaang. That's a damn good deal, considering the overblown pricing on that thing. I thought about it, but I've been entrenched in my Wii U ownership, and I'm kinda just irritated at Sony's arrogance on principle. Memory Card Pricing: Insanity.

Hey man, Superior Spider-Man has been a blast to read. It's way more interesting than The Universe-Changing Cataclysm of the Week, or Jean Grey Doing Anything, or Team Of Superheroes No One Will Ever Care About Do Things No One Will Remember A Month From Now.

The whole IV/EV thing is ridiculous, and I don't battle against people, because I know I'm completely out of my league; I just max out strategy and type coverage for the single-player game. Fun times!

The advantage PC has over 360 is Steam and their bargain bin-pricing for AAA games (if you're patient). I have 130+ games on Steam and I've paid full price for maybe three of them (everything else is 10 bucks or lower). Seriously makes up for any up-front cost of upgrading hardware.

Their games have kinda fallen off the wagon lately (poor BioWare), so it's no big loss just yet. I can also see them changing their tune.
