Fixed it.

One of the most shameful incidents of my life occurred at an Avis rental lot, so I can commiserate with this guy’s anger. When I returned a rental car this old man inspected it and cited 2 dents that he said were not noted on the original vehicle inspection. I disputed this and had my copy to show that there were

Why would I click through a stupid slideshow, when I can just go read the OG comments?

Went to a very well known private high school for a few years, attended with a neighbor who’s father was William Lyon, look him up if not familiar. Well his son, William Lyon JR., turned 16. Pops gifted him a brand new Ferarri GTO. He drove it to school 2 days and parked it. He was a humble dude, and felt it was not

Had a kid call me for insurance on a brand new 2005 Yamaha R1 that his parents had bought him for his 16th birthday. He had never ridden a motorbike before. I’m not really sure if his parents where stupid or they just didn’t like him very much.

Man, these things are amazing - a device I only recently discovered.

FH is the digital version of “playing cars” when I was a kid. Not really winning by contest, but winning by the pleasure of game play. It’s easy to build your garage, customize your rides, and just go out and... play cars.

The U.K. isn’t the country that probably springs to most people’s minds when they’re asked to imagine an environmentally diverse part of the globe.

I’m hoping there’s an endurance race/add-on modeled after the Carrera Panamericana.

Voted NP simply because I love that little engine. I first drove one in my Grandmother’s ‘61 Skylark and am currently installing a 4.6 version in my TR8.

I’ve always thought that this was the kind of thing you bought and pulled up into the yard next to a fourth-gen wrecked-but-running Chevy 1500 pickup and carefully extract all the original British bits from the Rover and deposit them in a dumpster, while removing all the American bits from the Chevy and reinstall them

Pretty OK price if the rot is handled. I’ve half restored one, and rust repair is quite labour intesive. But anyho modernish classic with relatively simple greasy bits. Also tons of after market support.

Yeah, people who tow horse trailers to rodeos or other equestrian events over the weekend are going to stick to their gas trucks. EVs work well for local working and events, but it doesn’t help people who have hobbies where they have to tow heavy things 100s of miles over the weekends.

Yes and no.

I had the same thought with the Bronco Ava Crowder drove in Justified

My gut says Series II, series I’s look lower and flatter

So I completely forgot that this took place in England, and when what my mind thought was the driver jumped out, and the car continued driving around, I was like WTF?

The really stupid thing is, in the UK if they’d pulled over right away and assuming they’d not been sampling the “cargo” to an obvious amount they probably would have gotten away with a traffic ticket and would have been sent on their way.

“The letter, which was published on a radical left platform”

The reason why we don’t have 1,000 lb cars that get 80 MPG and are reliable for 30+ years and 600K+ miles is because consumers want shiny new toys every couple of years, and because car companies build cars with planned obsolescence in mind to keep up the demand for their products.
