Cool handle, and apt too in that case. As is your original comment. (Did you know there was a old British APC of that name?)

I meant the saracen bit, I know.

No argument, but your handle makes it a little ironic.

Oh, why is that? Defenders don’t in my experience and they’re live axle separate chassis too. Or are we talking 6”+ kind of lift?

Actually, I have a better idea: the people that assumed this was a bomb should ... take a basic electronics class ... build ... a small machine ... that says “I’m so fucking sorry I was an idiot”

I so want to shout “Stow those ropes properly you posing twat!”

Pooty poots is really running rings around the West isn’t he? Not I feel because he’s that brilliant, but because he’s clear sighted and ballsy and Western leaders very much aren’t nowadays.

Heh yeah funny/cool. But still, when are Benz gonna put out one of these with a proper no-nonsense front bumper and sills and the exhaust exiting in the right place? That would look proper hardcore too.

The V8 was fairly low tuned apparently, the better to tow the gun and it’s ammo. But the normal rules apply to tune up a Rover V8 so presumably it could be made to exceed 100mph, although what that would be like on leaf springs and bar grips in a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a shoe box I shudder to think.

Aluminium alloy, so that isn’t so important. And Land-Rovers are functional vehicles, form follows function.

Excellent homage to the scene from MM above.

Yeah that bit never made sense to me either, neither then nor now.

Bet your hands were dirty after driving that eh?

I agree it is much overused to the point where it’s become a cliche of dimwitted Land-Rover bling.

If anyone asks what a vehicle would look like without any vestige of styling and marketing tell them to GIS 101”.

Me too. Yeah I wondered about the checker plate but don’t know 101”s that well.

There should be a name for this very modern syndrome.

Ren-Oh.

The grey area is what I hate about our situation, not knowing how fast I can really go.

What do you think of British driving skills/manners so far?
