I got plenty of issues with the Epic Games store but man that is not the fucking point here. Nobody denies that the 3Ds (And 2DS) have been a savior for Nintendo. But the truth is that the line is over a decade old now and it either needs to merge with the Switch or have a completely new handheld released.

3DS hardware is REALLY old and obsolete by now. Technically it was old and obsolete even at launch, but largely made-up for by Nintendo polish. Today the platform has had all it’s ever going to muster pretty much wrung out of it already, there’s no room for software to go, to evolve.

I agree. I really don’t see the point in keeping the 3DS around right now.

Yup! Kill it dead. Leave us with one platform, every Nintendo team working on the same machine, everyone able to play every game the company releases anywhere at any time. It’d be amazing.

Kill the 3DS. It’s had a good run. Make this new Switch smaller, with a more efficient screen and a better battery. Go all in on the portable angle.
