You know it is a well-done performance in a great movieā€¦

As wonderful as Lee's performance is throughout that film, that scene in particular is so well-played. I think a lot of us have been in that scenario, as you say, babysitting someone completely out of it, and she nails it perfectly.

He's not Vincent, he's Jules.

Yes, he frames violence as if he's never experienced loss or pain himself.

Plate of shrimp.

"There's just the one swan, actually."

So pirates can just slaughter our sailors with impugnity?

Fine choices.

Who are the other two in your top three?

Lloyd was a famous rent boy of early Hollywood that was passed around from owner to owner. One director would "sell-you-Lloyd" in exchange for one sort of favor or another.

And Waxwork!

Straw Dogs, Time After Time, and the Cardassian torture episode!

That's awesome.

Looks like you are right. I've heard it said so many times that I assumed it was true. Looks like it was a complete fabrication. The Lynch on Lynch book that people "quoted" apparently never says that. Good to know.

Fallout from the Prisoner should be on that list.

I think you mean "Crowley OTO, Batman!"

Also, we were at war with the Axis. They had been bombed repeatedly, often with death tolls equal or even surpassing Hiroshima and Nagasaki. If you want to argue all civilian bombing is evil, I will agree, but I don't see why it only being one bomb makes it worse.

Lost Highway has been expressly said to be in the same universe as TP. Lynch stated so in no uncertain terms.

Emmit could have easily said that the woman who was stalking him had taken his wallet.

I'd also say Season 2. My pick for favorite would be the Bobbie Gentry song "Family Reunion".
