I actually never saw it. It didn't look like it was going to be about faith per se, but rather Old Testament story retold as a fantasy film. I do like Aronofsky. I should try and give it a look.

Ostrander is probably the best American comic writer of the last three decades.

She's also great in Miller's Crossing.

Last Temptation and the Apostle are about the only two American movies that actually talk about faith in an adult manner. All others are 'angels are everywhere' or Fireproof-like nonsense.
