Well, I don't think Scarface was made to celebrate Tony Montana's lifestyle and choices. So I can see where he would have issues with how he's been embraced as a hero. It's like if you told Kubrick you joined the army because of Paths of Glory.

Quite possibly the worst casting decision since the end of the studio era.

I think a lot of theologians have made the case that the devil's whole line of reasoning is questionable. But, yeah, showing empirical evidence of supernatural evil is a great way to convert people to God. Better to sow doubt with science, Satan's whore. :)
