Toyota Land Cruiser. All of them. All the series and variants. They do what they are supposed to do and they do it reliably for a very long time.
They would sell a ton of these if available here.
Growing up in Metro Detroit I tried to be a “buy American” guy but had, and saw, so many bad experiences. Got turned onto Toyota Land Cruisers and Lexus LXs and found the way. Oh yea I did buy a GM product just this January. I bought a Bolt. Fantastic car at a great price after the tax rebate. GM went and killed it. I…
The Madison one is pretty spot on. Only been here 2 years but completely agree.
Dude probably looked up the biggest gas guzzler SUV and did his math with that. The answer would be a Toyota LC or Lexus LX of really any generation. They all get terrible mpg easily sub 15 mpg and have a rediculously small gas tank. I usually put 21 or 22 gallons in when it’s reading empty. His pathfinder ain’t that…
Probably has a camera out back and a screen in place of rear view mirror.
That Datsun Z speaks to me for no rational reasons. It feels like one of those cars that just make you giggle everytime you drive it. I’m not in a smog state so no worries there. Good thing it’s far away. The dream is probably far better than reality would be.........but maybe not.
I've had a bolt ev 2lt since January. The interior is fine. I find the seats really comfy and the car pretty spacious for what it is and I'm 6'3. Kids have had no complaints in the back even while hauling some friends around and having 3 back there. Moderately enjoyable to drive and pretty quick with it's instant…
Yea this is the right answer. To bad they are unobtanium. I tried fairly hard to track one down last year with zero luck. Bought a bolt ev for around town in January. Rav4 Prime would have been a great car for all needs tho. Maybe next time.
I don't understand why the E isn't sold here. It'd be an outstanding city car.
Officials don't know or don't want to know. Having spent some time in Texas I'll go with the latter as my bet.
That baja bug might not be terrible. Especially if you look at the price as just a starting point for negotiations.
This is the right answer. We have an LX 570. I looked briefly at the telluride and bought a used LX instead. Yea they are thirsty but it makes up for it in reliability. Amazing road trip vehicle.
Who is paying almost 20 percent over msrp for their cars? Not anyone I know. I paid 600 over for my Bolt EV to get it while I could get 2500 in rebates and the 7500 tax credit and I’m still a bit mad about it.
I agree. I’ve been hurting inside without a manual. I think it may be time to add a baja bug or street legal dunebuggy to the garage sonner than later. Something fairly cheap and fun with a manual. Plus I think my kids need to learn to drive a manual when its time.
Try to go find a Bolt on a lot that you can go in and buy today. Almost non existent. People are buying them as fast as they show up. Most are spoken for before they are off the truck.
This is maybe the dumbest article I’ve ever read on here. If you home charge your ev it is much cheaper than an ice. That’s not even figuring in the money saved on maintenance which will be much cheaper with an ev.
What are you talking about. My wife drives an Lx570 and I have a 100 series Land Cruiser in one of the most liberal cities in the US outside California and have never been given as much as a look. The 570 is parked safely in the garage right next to my Bolt. My LC is parked on the street in a pretty urban area. No…
David I live right near you and all I can say is thank God this thing is far away and I don’t have the time or I’d be on the way to bank to get cash. This would look great in the driveway next to my 300k plus landcruiser 100 series.
