You could’ve left out the words any, time, they, pitch, a, new, idea, for, that, doesn’t, involve, more, horsepower, and, less, downforce, and not lost anything from your point.

It might be a bit hard with a bunch of houses and Moreno Valley Mall at Towngate in the way. I suppose that they could race around Town Circuit but it would mean tearing out about 10 sets of traffic lights.

Make ‘em haul moonshine through the street courses. Designate the poll sitter as the Regulator. The Regulator starts at the rear of the grid. If a car is passed by the Regulator, the car is out of the race.

any time they pitch a new idea for nascar that doesn’t involve more horsepower and less downforce:

Hey HAAS, I’ll pay you double what Rich Energy did to be your title sponsor. I’m pretty sure that’s like $85 or so.

SAFER barrier. It absorbs the impact without deflecting the car.

I’m not typically one to cast aspersions on people I don’t know, but if Dan Dakich’s family member is dealing with chronic work-related injuries, has earned $100 million in the last seven years, and has a degree in architectural design from Stanford, then he’s an idiot for continuing to show up every day at the steel

The least they could do is convert it to a more useful metric like boats, jet skis, or ATV’s. If it can’t do better than 2,500 boats, I’m out.

Say no if he offers to push the shopping buggy to your car.

Nah, I’ll wait till they show up at my local Dollar Store.

William Storey: I’ll be back! Right, Gene?

Oh man I badly wanted a Marussia T-shirt back in the day but there wasn’t an economical way to ship to Canada.

Business plan:

It blows my mind that the same guy who was responsible for the disastrous Ferrari summer 2018 upgrade package that made the cars SLOWER and had to be rolled back was promoted to team boss for 2019...

I was watching the wheel too. In both Max’s and Vettel’s cases I felt that little wheel flick was just them trying not to lose it, but your point is perfect: if that’s evidence to punish in one case, isn’t it evidence in both? I think that it doesn’t indicate malice in either, but damn you gotta either keep things

If your product is such that you have to repeatedly introduce gimmicks to keep people interested, you might consider that the problem is not that the gimmicks aren’t working.

Stupid question - when you have a race that’s 400, 500 miles long, does starting position really matter?

There should be a “regular season” or pre-chase winner, as a result of having most points when the chase begins. This winner is automatically propelled to the final chase spot so that there are 5 in the final race. -this keeps folks racing all regular season instead of coasting after getting a win.
