I disagree. Unless F1 would be fine with slashing their prices, they need to pretend they are the super bowl. If they try promoting something like IndyCar, the fans will stick with IndyCar once they find out you can watch a more competitive and thus more entertaining racing product for far less than a F1 GP. For

Nah, leave our good racetracks alone. We don’t need the FIA to come over and give Road America or Watkins Glen the Paul Ricard treatment. If they can race at Saudi Arabia, they can race at Road America in its current form, just maybe with some minor garage structure improvements.

NHRA is well worth the money to see in person. You get all the senses going and with just a GA ticket, you can go back to the garage area and watch the cars being taken apart, inspected and rebuilt right in front of you and meet the drivers and crew while you’re at it. IMSA might be similar but I haven’t been to one

Only if there’s more street circuits than permanent road courses on the schedule

2010-2013 wasn’t that bad, especially 2010, 2012 and the beginning of 2013. Even with a dominant RB in 2011, they at least had reliability issues that would strike at times and give us different winners and not just from works teams.

Indianapolis is getting that July 4th weekend date next year or the year after with the 'ole Firecracker 400 being moved to the last race before the playoffs. So they already decided to ditch that history

You know if it was a gravel trap instead of pavement run-off I bet this isn't a fatal accident. Could be a change for the better if they reintroduce gravel traps

And honestly, unless you think you can get into 6 or 8 seats in F1 in particular, there’s no reason to go waste money driving in F1 anyway. Unless you’re in one of the manufacturer cars, you’re not going to win and the only way to make a good name for yourself/get promotion buzz while driving in one of the other 12-14

Here’s my solution: Daytona duels to set line ups at all races. Take all practice times across all sessions. Put them in order by each drivers fastest lap. Odd finishers by practice time (1,3,5,7,...) in group 1 to set the inside or preferred line; even finishers in group 2 to set the other side of the grid. Duel

4 qualifying sessions will just make everything more boring. Everyone will be on the fastest tire in all sessions and that means less strategy in the race. If they’re adamant about trying to make qualifying more exciting, make the first cut in Q1 down to 12 drivers (how many times have we seen Vettel/Kimi/Hamilton/Bott

*assembled in Texas. You still might have individual parts (ie. windowshields) that might be manufactured in Mexico

It’s not so bad at silverstone and other flat tracks, but I could see F1 having teams take them off at Spa because it’ll block the entire view up the track at the bottom of Eau Rouge. Also, how the drivers will be able to see the lights go out is a mystery too.

What they should’ve done:

They should’ve kept the windy stuff and ditched the front chicane or both chicanes if they want to increase the speed
