Yeah i know...  I figure though that the Beetlejuice sandworm look would be more likely in NMS.  Just for the randomness of added features.  

I started a new game for the hour or so of tutorials on the UI and base building, then took that knowledge back to my old save. I missed my jet pack range and inventory space. Powering up & adjusting my old base was the heaviest lift.

Start a new one.  They added full tutorials to get you started with all the new stuff as well as new quests, etc. Then after playing the starter save for a bit, you may feel comfortable going back to your original save and continuing where you left off.

depends on when you last played.  I logged in after Next and was essentially wiped out and never got back into the game- the tediousness of processing everything wore me out

Seems like a lot of people are having issues getting things to work properly in their savegames.  If starting a new game appeals to you, that might be a better option for the next week or two.

He sold us a game. He delivered a game. Nobody was forced to buy the game. Some people were very disappointed with the game, but various free updates have made a lot of those people happy.

When I said that there need to be more games like Breath of the Wild this isn’t what I meant.

I would probably avoid all purchases from any company if that’s your logic. Chances are there’s at least one employee from each corporation that has a racist son/daughter with conservative viewpoints.

Depending on were you drop and how much you need to loot, it can be relatively long or short for TTE. I’ve gone rounds were I could see people dying around me, but actual combat was not till the very end. You are talking about 18 minute rounds in that case.

I hear ya. To be fair, half of it is being able to communicate effectively with your teammates. The pinging system helps to alleviate a lot of that but nothing beats good old detailed chatter on mic.
