Maybe Univision will hire someone who knows what they’re talking about.

The company essentially blames the exchange participants for being sicker than they expected. They want healthy members who won’t actually need the insurance they’re buying.

If I hadn’t written that last part, would you have written “I was wrong”? Or would you have just written nothing?

There was, in fact, a guy killed in that shooting. Robert Finicum. A white man, too—the most evil of all God’s creatures.

Yeah, you can’t fire a shotgun at police.

I’m having trouble thinking of what Michelle Obama can possibly say that WOULDN’T have caused Jezebel to fall all over themselves.

You REALLY wouldn’t say “file a police report, report it to your insurance company, buy a new car, and maybe remember to lock the door on this one?” I think that would be in bounds to say. And no, to whatever idiot reads this and thinks otherwise, I’m not saying “RAPE=CAR THEFT” or whatever willful misreading you pick.

If someone doesn’t, they should. They (hopefully) would also be extremely sympathetic, but they would definitely, at some point, tell me that it’s important not to drink to the point of incapacity.

Neither of them are even talking about defending the actions of a rapist in any circumstances, but rather saying that in the extremely imperfect world we live in, it is dangerous to drink to the point of losing your mental

I don’t know how “progressive” the Muslim nations in the 1080s were, but obviously if you extend the timeline out into eternity, this probably won’t be how it always will be. In fact, the whole point of what I said is that this is what’s happening right now, and that radical Islam is a serious problem right now.

Sure, there are things in a number of religions that can be taken to their ideological extremes, but for a bunch of reasons (not that I’m some geopolitical expert) we’ve seen those extremes manifest themselves in the practitioners of one specific religion over any other for some time now; not just terrorist cells, but

Of course. If we were living in the Crusades, and people were jumping all over anyone who singled out Christianity “right now” as a specific problem religion, that would be ridiculous.

What about “there’s one religion in the world right now that is the ideological basis for a disproportionate amount of violence and terrorism, and it’s not racist to acknowledge that?”
