It was probably for one week, in May 1992. But for that one week the Cutlass was king!
He siezed that 3800 after about 125k miles of no oil changes or maintenance of any kind!
Finally... a used GM on NPCP that’s priced how it should be. There’s none of this “One of only 36 made of this year in red with a gray interior and 5-spoke wheels, this is rare! Asking $15,000. I know what I have, no tire kickers!”
My wife and I used to take frequent road trips in her 2011 Ford Fiesta. It was me, her, our (then) newborn in a rear-facing car seat and our 70-lb lab/shepherd mix. How can one guy and his dog not fit in a Countryman?
I don’t think they made anything in 1990 that was worth $12,000 in 1990.
Chrysler TC by Maserati still makes this a Chrysler K-car. You can put lipstick on a pig but that still makes it a pig. CP
Part of the car’s cleanliness may stem from the dearth of miles it’s covered to date—a meager 39,000 showing on the clock. It’s also mercifully been kept modestly stock, with only a Dinan ECU upgrade, strut tower brace, drilled rotors, and a phat shift knob as deviations from the norm.
The yellow car was photographed on a beautiful sunny British day.
US Spec cars were only ever available as an automatic. There was a Euro version available with a manual but it was mated to a straight-6.
Unfortunately that picture is about 4 years old and the car is now in central Ohio. I also (unlike the NPCP car) I cannot say my car is rust-free. I call my car a “great 20 footer”... it looks great from 20 feet away and still drives perfectly.
3rd Gear: Here’s the issue I have with pilot-less planes. When airlines start facing money problems (or shareholders aren’t getting a big enough dividend) the first people to get laid off are the aircraft maintenance personnel.
I eat my donuts from the back first.
Beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder... I kinda like it.
I feel bad for people that pay $50K for a Ford Focus... then again, my brother loves his RS.
I had a Santa Fe 2.0T as a rental car recently. I have to say, I was thoroughly NOT impressed by it. Granted, the rental wasn’t the Ultimate Package but it did have the 2.0T and some other features, but I found the driving position awkward, the seats too hard, and the transmission was constantly hunting (only has…
I’ve only every purchased 2 things off Ebay in my entire life, both were car parts. One was the driver’s door-handle assembly for a ‘95 Grand Prix GTP, the other was the inner tail-light assembly for my ‘73 450SL (the light assembly was used but still worked).
72 & 73 had the short bumpers, 74 is when the long US-spec bumpers appeared. I also have the hardtop for mine but it doesn’t so much good because the passenger window doesn’t close completely.
