Yeah, I wouldn’t say they’re “happy” being left alone. They are usually fine and end up sleeping most of the time anyway, but my cat would get upset with me if I left her alone too long and I would sometimes find her sleeping by the door when I came home.

That sounds very similar to what happened with my cat. Luckily the vets I took her to were very kind, kept me informed of all my options, and helped me make the hard decision in the end.
