I really think Season 1 was a happy accident.
Above-average writing was made much, much better by two Hall of Fame
lead performances and spectacular direction by Cary Fukunaga. With
McConaughey, Woody, and Cary all out of the picture, start lowering your
expectations now if you haven't already.

Saw it yesterday in LA. The Mo Farah bit was in there, and it was hilarious even though I had no idea who Mo Farah was (figured it out contextually halfway through the scene). There were only about 5 or 6 of the kinds of British references that I was completely unable to identify in the movie version - less, I'd say,

The last time I quit a series deep into it's run was Dexter, and history has proven that was a good decision. I still will check in on the recaps, and I'll miss Skarsgard and the requisite T&A that this show continues to produce, but I was watching-the-final-season-of Entourage-level miserable for five minutes, and

I QUIT! I QUIT! I FINALLY QUIT! FIVE MINUTES INTO THE EPISODE I REALIZED I CAN FINALLY QUIT! I'M NEVER WATCHING IT AGAIN! I'M SO SO SO HAPPY!

Not a huge fan, as I find Plant's shrieking cock rock rather annoying, but side two of Led Zeppelin III is one of the greatest album sides of all time

haha, yeah, GI Joe is definitely in the Israeli wheelhouse, but we American jews were too busy watching basketball and Nick at Nite to dig the war cartoons.

Just that neither I, nor any of the other Jewish kids I knew, had any interest in GI Joes. Or any war games for that matter. And I'm wondering if I'm alone in that amongst the chosen. Pretty self explanatory

As a Jewish kid growing up in the 80s/90s I had no interest in GI Joe. Who's with me?!!

It was the 90s, the Pax Clinton! Nearly everything sucked and we were too bloated, rich and weird to realize it.

Just wondering why Moffat and company decided to turn this show into freaking Three's Company.

You know, I enjoyed season 1, but was not too interested in adding season 2 to my already-too-heavy TV watching list (even though I was hearing great things). Well, I watched 6 of the 8 episodes last night, the last two just now, and have to agree that it is spectacular. Some of the best writing in the history of TV,

It was probably the best year ever for septuagenarian musicians- Bobby Womack, Dr. John, and Dylan of course all released great albums.

It's still a little lonely for those of us who know that Jackie Brown is one of the best movies (in Muhammed Ali voice) OF ALL TIME

I was really expecting Three Kings to appear in the Top 10. Otherwise, it's always fun to read these things.
