You actually whine about people dismissing comments. ;-*

Now go write that to all the Latino people who think you’re an idiot in the other comment section.
Man, I know we’ve had our constant disagreements, but I’m genuinely grateful to have you on the right side of this.
Sure, it’s easy to say that to recognitions. Now go write that to all the Latino people who think you’re an idiot in the other comment section.
If it helps, homie really isn’t terribly bright. Puts a lot of it into context.
It sounds like a really good apology, and I have been heartened by both what she and LMM have said in response to this whole thing (and, on a side note, what Ellie Kempler or whatever her name is? Her as well).
1. It’s humbling to see an acting legend admitting she still has stuff to learn.
it always sucks when one movie has to carry the brunt of all representation. but a movie/play specifically about caribbean people in the US? no excuse.
“In this situation, I think 1 or 2 shots were justified. Again, you disable the thread.”
The guy stealing his car part didn’t even know he was there. He wasn’t a direct threat at the moment this guy fired his shots. he was never a direct threat. You don’t just get to assume that someone doing something illegal is also armed and willing to harm you. Most criminals aren’t. Hell - most criminals, even in the…
You're awfully focused on the repercussions of this guy not having a catalytic converter in comparison to the guy who no longer has a life. There were many avenues available to this guy that didn't involve murder, just like there are in many situations that involve lethal force. You've got a pretty bad faith argument…
Ah yes - the fact that I think that some dude shouldn’t be murdered because he’s committing a petty property crime means I’m privileged and can’t empathize with others.
I’m pretty sure a half decent lawyer will get you off for driving over person stealing your Cat. converter. Shooting then driving over is going to take a lot more expensive lawyer. Shooting multiple times and dragging to death, that’s going to need an insanity plea.
Further, they’d never be able to claim self-defense, as shooting to “wound” would necessarily mean by logical extension that the shooter lacked the requisite fear for their imminent safety, thus the act of firing was inherently unjustifiable.
He deserved to be neither shot nor murdered. He deserved to be apprehended by the police, charged with a crime, convicted in a court of law and sentenced.
Shooting someone anywhere (except maybe a toe, but good luck with that) is taking a decent chance at killing them, intended or not.
If you think the value of a life is a catalytic converter and a person getting killed over stealing one got what they deserved, then that’s a problem for all of us, and a common one in America. There’s no need to examine the abstractions you mentioned in your reaction, like the system that placed this person in that…
You don't shoot people if you're not intending on killing them.
I like your handle. It perfectly describes my primary hobbies.
When i see “got what he deserved” i revert to the court system. The literal institution set up to give people what they deserve.
