Anita is right. 100% right. The indifferent (and, bafflingly, supportive) attitudes towards violent verbal harassment is the same rape apologist rhetoric that's been the litmus test for outing misogynist assholes for decades. Anonymous or not: which side of history do you really want to be aligned with?
Oh, the horribly loud sloshing sounds your stomach makes during drunk sex...
I'll just refer them to the Xander/Anya wedding day episode from Buffy. ;P
Good for you, Sessler!
Yes, please! I'm all on board for a recurring feature where we shame bigoted Twitter teens. Take note, Jezebel editors!
My father and I have a pact where we only talk about safe, non-polarizing topics, like, "Hold on, I'll go get your mother." But now what will I do?!?
Nah, I've gone as far as blocking the statuses from appearing on my news feed of conservative extended family members, but I'll still send out obligatory invites. It's going to be weird if they all come, though; my fiance's family is almost entirely Liberal and mine is almost entirely the opposite. Awkward.
That awkward moment when you post on Facebook "if you didn't vote for Obama, you're uninvited to my wedding" and your mom reveals she's a conservative.
"...when I see people who are aggressively all about their gaming hobby, even I take it as kind of a bad sign..."
But seriously, fuck Diablo 3.
